It was lovely to see Janet shine in her new role as our President. Welcome Janet.

The 2026 Resolution for WI. This year there are two Resolutions.
1. Accessible Public toilet facilities-A call for better provision for all.
2. Action on Women's Homelessness- Urging government to address and improve the situation.
We now have 85 members of North Gosforth WI and our waiting list is closed.

-Jean and Viv have also stepped down from the committee. We wish them a happy time relaxing in the audience. Thank you ladies.
-NEXT MEETING Wednesday July 1st.
-The August meeting will be on the 5th and will be a Persian themed lunch to include a performance from a Belly Dancer.

All members are required to sign the new WI membership form or they will not be eligible to join the organisation. See above for further information.
The bottle of coins collected each meeting comprised nearly £60 in loose change and was made up to the £60 by Jean's husband and then up to £100 by the WI funds. All proceeds are to St Oswald's Hospice. Thank you everyone.
The next collection for the women's refuge will be in July. Small donations can be brought to the July meeting and after that to members of the committee in the next week. Jenny and Helen will take the donations as usual.

Following the success of the Christmas Party at the Rugby Club we have booked the same venue for 2026. This will be on Wednesday the 9th December 2026. We have booked the Baldy Hollies by special request. We have to book early!
